History

History of NIPPON GASKET

Regulations on exhaust gassed in response to problems from air pollution, oil crises spurring efforts to reduce energy consumption and produce smaller, lighter engines. Engines have undergone repeated improvement and development in response to a changing social environment, and this has been matched at each step by the repeated improvement and development of gaskets. Materials have evolved, from aramid to graphite, and now metal. Each material's weak points merely serve to indicate the suitable properties in newer materials. And precision processing-right down to the micron-increases gasket sealing capabilities yet further. Superior technological development, gained through repeated testing and refinement that's the history of Nippon Gasket.
